DESIGN OF OUTDOOR EXHIBITS
A COLLECTION OF EXHIBITS THAT SHOULD PRESENT THE PHENOMENA FROM THE AREA OF HYDROMECHANICS, OPTICS, ACOUSTICS AND KINETICS TO THE VISITORS.
The aim of the design was to explain the physical laws as simple as possible so that mainly young visitors would remember the desired phenomenon in an undisturbed form through a unique experience. The concept is based on the requirements of safe operation, durability, and minimum maintenance. The unifying element is stainless steel while the control or movable parts are made in red accent. The exhibits were made in cooperation with team of VIDA experts and architecture of the exposition by Vizage studio.

HYDROMECHANICS
ARCHIMED'S LAW
A body submerged in a fluid is acted upon by an upward force of magnitude of which is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the body.
PRESSURE FOUNTAIN - TORRICEL'S LAW
The pressure changes with the depth of the fluid which affects the speed of jets flowing through the orifices and thus the range of the jet of the fluid.
OPTICS
OPTICAL PRISM
White light is spread out into a rainbow spectrum of all colors as it passes through a glass prism.
KINETICS
PULLEY SYSTEM: LIFT YOURSELF
SLOPE
The position of the weight relative to the center of rotation of the wheel affects its speed when moving freely on an inclined plane.
By adjusting and different distance of this weight from the center of the disc, visitor can compare this phenomenon on two identical exhibits next to each other.
ACOUSTICS
ACOUSTIC EARS
Ears work similarly to antennas, receiving sounds from the outside. Increasing the surface of these live antennas leads to rise of intensity and change of frequency spectrum received and directed into the acoustic meatus.
HUMMING STONE
The humming stone represents three chambers with a diameter of 30/40/50 cm. Finding the right voice frequency by humming in the right hole will vibrate the body, which gradually spreads all the way down to the legs.
MARIMBA
Use the drumsticks to play the metal plates and listen to the individual tones. The plates produce standing wave motion that is, besides other things, dependent on the length of the plate. The longer the plate, the lower the frequency of the sound, and conversely, the shorter the plate, the higher the frequency. Up to four players can play on it at the same time.
BAREFOOT PATH
The specific exhibit, focused on the haptic senses, allows visitors to explore and compare various geometric structures to different sizes and spans of various geometric shapes.
